theEndurist Conversion Kit for RnineT by ShawnStudio

For a long time, RnineT owners have faced a persistent pain: whether it's the stock suspension system or expensive OHLINS units, the RnineT series has struggled to achieve the height and travel necessary for off-road riding.

Therefore, when we decided to develop a rally-style kit for RnineT, creating a mass-produced, easily accessible, and widely compatible suspension solution became imperative.

After numerous discussions, research, and comparisons, we chose to base our solution on the stock suspension system from KTM 790/890 Adventure. This is because this suspension system has high availability on the second-hand market for used parts。 Affordable, and can be adapted for RnineT without complex modifications.

Furthermore, its front fork offers 200-240mm of wheel based travel (depending on the version), and the rear shock provides 55mm of suspension travel. The weight of the donor bike is also very similar to RnineT, making it fully capable of meeting RnineT riders' needs. For riders seeking ultimate off-road performance, they can further opt for the "R" version front forks or upgrade to Hyperpro progressive springs on this foundation.

Before deciding to purchase, please carefully read the FAQ section below to ensure you understand the required components, total cost, and applicability of this suspension system. If you encounter any questions not listed, please feel free to email shawn@90rider.com. We will do our best to provide answers.

FAQ

1. Triple clamp with bearing, dust cap and 6x TC4 Titanium screws. Made of 6061-T6 aluminum and anodized in black or silver.

2. Front axle, made of TC4 Titanium, in original color.

3. Sensor ring, made of Q235 steel with Zi-Ni coating.

4. Brake fluid horse from HEL Performance, made by order to fit the calipers you choose.

Rear suspension conversion kit includes the following items at price €99 including worldwide shipping.

1. Rear suspension lower mount, made of 7075-T6 aluminum.

2. Bushings for up and down, capable with either EURO 4 or EURO 5 models.

What else I need to buy?

MUST HAVE

Front forks conversion kit requires the following parts to be mounted.

1. Front forks from any of the following.

a) KTM 790/890 Adventure S, lowest cost, 200mm wheel base travel, not adjustable at all.

b) Husqvarna Norden 901, middle cost, 220mm wheel base travel, adjustable preload, compress and rebound.

c) KTM 790/890 Adventure R, highest cost, 240mm wheel base travel, best performance, adjustable preload, compress and rebound.

2. Radial calipers from Brembo with 100mm mounting. The reason it better to be Brembo is because calipers from different brands usually have different offset (from brake disc to mounting holes). Brembo uses the standard 30mm offset. If you are sure some other calipers have the same offset, that'll be ok.

3. High position front fender. Stock fender from RnineT Roadster, Pure, Scrambler and Racer will not fit new front forks. You can choose either one of the following.

a) RnineT Urban G/S OEM fender.

b) Our R12GS style fender.

c) UnitGarage or any other 3rd party fender which is mounting on the bottom triple clamp.

Rear suspension conversion kit requires the following parts to be mounted.

1. Rear suspension from any of the following.

a) KTM 790/890 Adventure S. Lowest cost, 55mm suspension travel, not adjustable at all.

b) Husqvarna Norden 901, middle cost, 55mm suspension travel, adjustable preload and rebound.

* Suspension from KTM 790/890 Adventure R will NOT work, it conflicts with the main frame.

2. Or you can choose any other suspensions designed for RnineT. We recommend to choose one with height between 390-400mm to match the front forks.

Actually we have all the MUST HAVE parts in stock. But considering the high cost of international shipping, we recommend to buy them locally. If you want us to make a full package and worry no more about buying parts, please send email to shawn@90rider.com for quotation.

Does it fit my RnineT?

The kit fits all RnineT models since 2017 (with small sensor ring).

2014-2016 Roadster please send email to shawn@90rider.com to discuss about solution.

Which size of wheels does it fit?

The forks and suspension have enought length to fit 19"/21" front and 17"/18"wheels. So if you own a Scrambler and you want to keep stock wheels, there are no concern.

If you want to change the size of original wheels, the problem comes with TC. You need to find someone to re-map the ECU and change the data in it. Otherwise it will show error and works incorrectly.

Somehow, we own a 100 years anniversary RnineT Roadster and we found that it's self adapting. We don't know why and couldn't find any information about it. If you know the details and would like to share with us, that would be much appreciated.

Capabilities with other parts?

The rear suspension conversion kit does not affect any other parts. Therefore, this section primarily discusses the front fork conversion kit.

For windshields mounted to the top triple clamp, we have designed a dedicated bracket to ensure the new triple clamp retains the same mounting hole. Therefore, such windshields are generally compatible.

For parts mounted to the headlight bracket, we designed the mounting holes identical to the OEM bracket. Consequently, most accessories of this type are unaffected.

For other accessories mounted directly to the front forks, they will no longer be compatible with this kit due to the change in fork tube diameter to 54-60mm.

Regarding the front axle and parts mounted to it may no longer be suitable. However, the Geometry Collection front axle slider from ShawnStudio are not affected.

Further compatibility questions will be addressed based on feedback from riders after the product's official release. We will also update this Q&A document accordingly to resolve more questions that may arise.
